3G stands for 3rd generation mobile telecommunications,
In the early 80's the mobile telephony technology.1G i.e. first generation mobile had began. For this they had used AMPS (Advanced Mobile Phone Service cellular networks)
In the late 90's 2G had introduced using a techonology called CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access)
- The 1992 the first project of 3G research and development started.
- In Japan NTT DoCoMo launched first pre-commercial 3G network.
- In March 2003 Hutchison Telecommunications launched first commercial 3G network.
- And where as in Africa the first 3G network launched be Emtel.
By June 2007, the 200 millionth 3G subscriber had
been connected.
But after successful launch of 3G, the world not picked it up fastly. Because we cannot run
3G on 2G networks. In order to use 3G, a entire new network which is different
from 2G network must be build with the entire new license and frequencies. The
main goal of this entire new things is to achieve high-end data transmission
rates.
3G in India :
India
has entered into the 3G 3rd generation
technology in 2008. BSNL Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd launched the 3G service with 3G
enabled Mobile
and Data services. After that 3G launched successfully in the cities Mumbai and
Delhi by the telecom
company MTNL.
On November 5, Tata DoCoMo is
the first private telecom service provider which launched the 3G services
followed by Reliance Communications on December 13, 2010. And the other Indian
Private telecom services Vodafone and Airtel launched in mid of March 2001 and on
24 January 2011 rspectively. Airtel launched its first service in Bamglore then
on March4, 2004 in Delhi &Jaipur. In
2011 February Indian other private telecom company Aircel launched its 3G services
in Kolkata. And in April Idea launched its 3G services.
In 3G slot Airtel has the highest space by having 3 million subscribers. Airtel launched its 3G services about three
months ago in India .
Bharti
Airtel is the leading telecom company in India. This telecom giant has total
number of 164.6 millions of customers across India.
After using 3G ,customers of 3G
were complaining about 3G that sometimes
suddenly the network is falling down and speed is not constant. Also the major
complaint is that while in the roaming cost is almost Rs15 per MB of data even
if they are roaming on the same network.
The telecom giant is planning to
expand its telecom operations by investing 3billion dollars ($ 3 billion).
In India they are planning to to
invest primarily to expand Airtel's 3G
network. Till now in 43 cities Airtel has launched its 3G services. After
expanding its 3G network this figure will be reached to 500 towns.
In seven countries Airtel is planning to re-launch its 3G services and
in Africa. It is also looking forward to
launch greenfield
services in three countries. Kenya,
Sierra Leone and Congo. Also in
Medagascar, Airtel is planning to get license of 3G mobile.

Airtel has launched it's new brand logo.Airtel brand new logo is very impressive.Airtel’s previous logo had the word 'Air' in black color and 'Tel' was written in white on a red black ground.But Airtel’s new logo looks like a curved 'A', which appears a friendly appeal of Airtel. The logo is in white with red color background. Bharti Airtel have also said that it represents a dynamic force of energy which would bring the management and customers closer.
The new tune of Airtel was launched along with the Airtel New Logo on November 18, 2010. The Airtel new tune for leading Indian Mobile service provider Airtel was composed by Oscar winning musician A.R.Rehman.The new Airtel signature tune was composed in more lively and youthful manner.So everyone has been enjoying alot.The previous tune was also a huge success with as many as 160 million internet downloads. It created the history in itself by being the world’s most downloaded mobile music.The new Airtel tune has the original touch but with increased energy quotient. This tune, too is expected to hit the popularity charts.
